I’ve been meaning to get a real website. You know, one of those tools you use to show off what you make, create and the awesomeness you are capable of…but between the ease of Twitter, Flickr and Tumblr, my mind just got so distracted and segemented. Then, dear ol’ Matthew Allard showed me flavors.me. Go there ASAP, and request an invite. It is so easy to bring all your different lifestreaming feeds into one destination (i.e. Friendfeed), but it actually is customizable and looks fantastic. A+, flavors.me. A freaking plus.

A preview of why I woke up so early this morning. My dear friend and amazingly talented writer, Matthew Allard, asked me to take some photos of him. So I did, and it was lovely. His loft makes me swoon a little bit. Matt likes bright colors and fun, and I really wanted the photos to reflect who he was in the color palette. I opted for lots of natural sunlight, super saturation & contrast to compliment the energy of his writing.

The Arclight theater in Hollywood has a part of The Fantastic Mr. Fox set (the science lab) with the puppets used in the movie. I was lucky enough to attend a screening last week with Wes Anderson & Jason Schwartzman, and I have to say that the movie is absolutely delightful, funny and all-around adorable. The stop motion animation and attention to detail, whether it’s the color palette or the way the wind hits the characters’ faces, is incredible. They said that it took a full day to animate mere seconds. The painstaking dedication alone is admirable. But the script and cinematography are what made me fall in love with the movie. Fantastic Mr. Fox opens in New York and LA today. Go see it!
