The Arclight theater in Hollywood has a part of The Fantastic Mr. Fox set (the science lab) with the puppets used in the movie. I was lucky enough to attend a screening last week with Wes Anderson & Jason Schwartzman, and I have to say that the movie is absolutely delightful, funny and all-around adorable. The stop motion animation and attention to detail, whether it’s the color palette or the way the wind hits the characters’ faces, is incredible. They said that it took a full day to animate mere seconds. The painstaking dedication alone is admirable. But the script and cinematography are what made me fall in love with the movie. Fantastic Mr. Fox opens in New York and LA today. Go see it!
